There are many things that a booking engine simply can't provide and they are all based on one thing… RELATIONSHIPS. Travel is all about experiences and I believe your honeymoon deserves the best.
5 Things You Are Missing by Booking Your Honeymoon Yourself
Every couple is unique. The only way to match you with YOUR individual honeymoon experience is by learning about you. A booking engine won't interact with you and ask qualifying questions to guide you toward places and experiences that suit your personal interests. A booking engine will provide lists based on search engine optimization and advertising budgets - not personal preference.
By asking the right questions, I can quickly and easily determine the right destinations, locations, resorts and activities. Together, your wish list and my expertise will lead you to your perfect honeymoon.
Ever try to call an online agency? Yikes! It literally takes hours for a person to pick up the phone. That means you are on your own to find the answers to any of your questions, big or small. If you are calling to make a change on the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances or an error when booking, be prepared to lose money. Changes and cancellations come with fees; without someone to point them out, you may have missed the details buried in the fine print. You can request the fees to be waived, but since the person you are talking to doesn't know you, they are probably not going to be sympathetic to your situation, and they probably don't have any authority to refund your money.
I am a phone call, email or text away, I am available to you. We can take our time and have as many conversations as it takes to be sure the trip is exactly as you picture it. I am your advocate. If something goes wrong, I am on your side, making the calls and spending the time making the changes so you don't have to. Plus, my reputable travel partners offer assistance 24/7, so there is always someone there for you; before, during, and after the trip.
3. Peace of Mind
This is your honeymoon! You are busy planning a wedding and getting ready for a new way of life. It is a stressful and busy time. When you book online you are on your own. All the responsibility of the trip is on you. Online agencies aren't monitoring your itinerary for accuracy or for things that might impact your travel such as construction, strikes, travel warnings, or weather related issues. Your final documents will be sent via email and may not include travel trips or helpful information about your destination.
When you plan your honeymoon with me, you enjoy the benefits of my experience along with the expertise of my entire travel network. These partners have been vetted and are known to be reputable within the travel industry. They include some of the world's most spectacular hotels, and you'll be treated like a treasured guest with exclusive perks! The best part is... you get all of these perks, at no additional cost to you, simply because we care.
4. Good Reputation
Online reviews can be tricky. It is hard to know which reviews are true and which have been paid.
Online booking agencies have a bad reputation for a reason, if you ask around, you probably know someone who has a horror story.
I work hard for my clients because after getting to know them, I genuinely care about their trip. Most of my business comes to me by word of mouth, so you probably already know someone who was happy working with me! But in case you don’t, I have many reviews for you to read on my website!
5. Attention to Detail
Attention to Detail - All the components of your trip will be well coordinated and make sense (you definitely won't have crazy 8 hour layovers like on Orbitz or Expedia!) Your documents will come beautifully prepared, with important information highlighted for your convenience. Details such as transfers, excursions, dining reservations, seat assignments, etc. will have been discussed and arranged based on your input. I even suggest special surprises that the bride or groom can plan to surprise their fiance during the trip! It’s these added extras that make the trip incredibly special.
Well, there you have it, 5 great things you are missing by booking yourself!

Travel insurance is something couples groan about all the time!
Since the cost of the insurance is based on the total cost of the trip (and your age), it is usually quoted last and a forgotten expense. So try to remember to include insurance in the honeymoon budget!
Why Would I Need It?
How much will it cost?
The cost of a policy is determined by age, level of coverage and cost of trip. There is no one size fits all when it comes to insurance coverage for a trip. For example, a domestic honeymoon may not require the medical benefits that you want with an international trip. There are many choices of policies, so ask an insurance professional which plan is right for you.
Can I wait to buy it?
Generally speaking, if you want a pre-existing condition waiver included in the policy, you will need to purchase within 7-14 days of initial payment on your trip. Otherwise, you may purchase a policy up to 1 day prior to departure. It is in your best interest to purchase the policy as soon as possible so that the coverage begins before an emergency takes place. Again, each plan is different so be sure to know the specific terms of the policy you are considering.
What is Cancel For Any Reason?
Some companies offer cancel for any reason as an optional benefit. This type of coverage adds to the cost of the policy and you should check the reimbursement percentage, it can start at just 50%. If you think that you may cancel for a reason not typically covered (think Zika scare this past year) then definitely consider looking into this option.
Which Travel Insurance Companies do you recommend?
There are several reputable travel insurance companies available to you. I personally work closely with Travel Guard and Allianz.
The most important benefit of travel insurance is peace of mind. It's tough to relax and fully enjoy your honeymoon if you're worried about hurricanes, getting sick, losing your passport or missing your flight. Choosing an insurance policy is a personal matter, everyone's needs are different and there is a policy for every need. I am happy to answer questions or refer you to a trusted partner who can help.
There are different methods to avoid lines at the airport. Some assist with SECURITY lines while others are designed to assist with CUSTOMS lines. These are very different so let's get them straight:
CUSTOMS - refers to items being brought into a country upon the return from your trip
IMMIGRATION - refers to people entering a country either as a visitor or returning home
SECURITY - everyone traveling by air in the US (domestic or international) must pass through security upon leaving for your trip.
To avoid the masses and get through lines quicker, you can choose to join a program to expedite the process. See the chart below to decide which program is best for you!
I have no affiliation with any of these programs.
I personally use Global Entry because I travel internationally at least once a year and domestically many times a year - I love the TSA precheck for both domestic and international flights and expedited immigration/customs lines when returning to the US. In addition, my credit card covers the cost of Global Entry, so getting it for free was a no brainer.
