Looking for a block of rooms for out of town guests for your Westchester, Rockland or NYC wedding? Crowne Plaza White Plains is the spot!If you are having an affair with out of town guests, I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza in White Plains. It offers a great location, comfortable accommodations and courteous staff. Guests arriving by car will have no problem driving to the hotel. I am the most directionally challenged person I know and I found it with ease! Anyone traveling by plane can catch a short, complimentary shuttle from the Westchester County Airport and be relaxing in a room in about 20 minutes. (Don’t be surprised to see the pilot there when you check-in, pilots are regulars at the Crowne Plaza!) The guestrooms at the hotel are clean, spacious and welcoming. I particularly fell in love with the suite. It is the perfect space for a bridal party to get ready before a wedding. A guestroom is connected to the suite which is big enough to accommodate many people for things like hair, makeup, or nails. There is plenty of seating, a bathroom and a kitchenette. Spending a few hours with your family and friends in such a warm and welcoming space will certainly help with last minute jitters! I still remember the moments before my wedding, alone in a room waiting - I was so nervous, I begged a random attendant to stay with me! While I was visiting, I enjoyed lunch at Whisk, the hotel bar/restaurant. I have many food allergies and the staff was very accommodating to my needs. I dipped a fresh roll in a bowl of chicken vegetable soup on a February afternoon and it hit the spot! If you prefer a quick bite you could head over to the Morning Mix Coffee Bar for something to go. As evening comes, a highly trained mixologist will create mini cocktails that you can enjoy with either a ‘big’ plate for a full meal or a ‘small’ plate for a lighter meal, but be sure to try the dessert, cheesecake lollipops- yum! Nightlife in White Plains is active, with Mamaroneck Ave. within walking distance international cuisine and some great local bars are easily accessible. In addition to comfortable accommodations and a great location, the hotel offers guests a weight room, cardio workout room and a heated pool. High speed internet access is available throughout the hotel.
Crowne Plaza has exclusive offers for brides and grooms. Special rates are available for 10 or more room nights with no financial obligation for blocking up to 50 rooms per night. That is a great offer giving engaged couples lots of flexibility and time to gather their numbers. If you are interested in a block of rooms for out of town guests, please contact my friend Zully Perez at zully.perez@ihg.com or 914-821-1337. Crowne Plaza is located at 66 Hale Avenue, White Plains, NY 10601. I speak to couples about their honeymoon dreams daily. The most requested location is Tahiti, perhaps because of the gorgeous pictures that people see on social media. First, let's address the amount of time you will need. There are, of course, many routes to take, so let's stick with the most common. If you left on an 8:30am EST flight, you would arrive in Tahiti at 10pm local time which is 4am EST. So it basically takes at least a full day of travel (depending on how well you sleep on a plane!)- on both ends of the trip. I am not saying any of this to discourage you from traveling to Tahiti, I simply want you to understand the time commitment.
People are usually surprised about the cost, in both directions! Some people assume it is WAY out of their range and are pleasantly surprised to learn it is an option and others underestimate the cost and suffer from sticker shock! Airline prices depend on many factors such as time of year, airline, originating city, etc. so don't assume that it is not for you! Think you want to go? Give me a call, I would be happy to put together a quote for you! Changed your mind, contact me and I will discuss some options that are just as beautiful as of Tahiti! |
