The first mock wedding in our area was a HUGE success! It is no accident that the event went off without a hitch… Jessica Rajs did an AMAZING job planning the event! Awesome food and a stress free party, what more could an engaged couple ask for! Pearl Event Planning, led by Jess and Josh, organized an evening for engaged couples to experience wedding vendors doing exactly what they do best on wedding day. It is a fantastic alternative to the traditional bridal show and quite frankly, a lot more fun for everyone! No pushy sales pitches or repeated requests for your email address. Instead couples were treated to a fun night out while the vendors had the opportunity to showcase their services. The wedding was held at Cherry Valley Country Club in Skillman, NJ. Guests were checked in by Simply Platinum, whose services include creating a customized wedding website to share details of the event and tracking of RSVP's while delivering exceptional service. Let me just say they were meticulously organized! The wedding ceremony was set outside, overlooking the picturesque Cherry Valley Golf Course. Since the ceremony took place at sunset, the area was decorated with soft blue up-lights provided by Darkness Eliminators. The groomsmen looked sharp in suits from Men's Wearhouse while the bridesmaids wore elegant dresses from David's Bridal. Hair was exquisitely done by Glam It Up Hair & Makeup, who by the way will travel to you on your big day! Everyone looked flawless, with makeup applied by a certified makeup artist from Urte. Alisa Brides accessorized the women with wedding veils, bridal garters and bridal headpieces that were unique and elegant. Every detail was meticulously covered. Side note: I was inside prior to the bridal party walking out for the ceremony and Jessica was there fixing every detail. I know firsthand how important that is… my husband walked down the aisle with his vest improperly buttoned, so his suit was bunched up on one side. It still annoys me! When I look at the pictures I always say, "Why didn't someone fix you!" And that is precisely why couples should have a wedding planner! They fix things that no one else notices! Anyway, back to the ceremony…Mitch the Minister filled the room with warmth and joy as he married the happy couple. He imparted words of wisdom while keeping the couple relaxed with humor when appropriate. Upon completion of the ceremony, the couple and their wedding party led the way around the wrap-around patio into the reception area where a spacious room enhanced with up-lighting greeted guests. Another note: at one point, they turned off the uplighting so we could see the room without it, and honestly, it really made a noticeable difference. It absolutely enhanced the look of the room. Each table was beautifully decorated with floral centerpieces by Dahlia Florals, who also created stunning bouquets and boutonnieres for the bridal party. Then DJ Sully took over and got everyone up and on the dance floor! His passion for music, people and fun times is obvious as he delivers an amazing entertainment experience. The party really took off and the guests had an incredible time, complete with a photo booth by iLOVE to capture even more great moments of the event. Dinner was fantastic (I am a sucker for warm bread!) and the staff was noticeably friendly and helpful. For dessert, the cake by Cocos Cakery was absolutely stunning and delicious, plus there was a scrumptious s'mores bar that was out of this world! Anyone preferring not to dance could enjoy a hand rolled cigar or head over to the lounge furniture placed around 2 large fire pits on the patio. Each guest was invited to grab a bag of candy from the fully stocked candy bar complements of Sweet Dreams Events, who can also provide Hotel Welcome Bags for you to show your out of town guests how much you care! On my way out, I grabbed the most delicious waffle from Nina's Waffle and Ice Cream, it totally hit the spot! The evenings events were gorgeously captured by Pittelli Photography. They are an award winning photography team with over a decade of experience photographing fun, dramatic and emotional images of people in love! What I loved about them was that they were unobtrusive but also quick to flash a smile if you caught their eye. And needless to say, they didn't miss a moment! Generic Brand Human Events captured all the great moments on video. A big thank you to some of the other participants, Darling + Pearl who specialize in delightful stationary and event branding for all of life's festive occasions. Chelsea B. did an incredible job with the graphics and promotional material for the event and thanks to NJWedding for promoting the event. Of course, Sunlit Travel was on hand to answer questions about the honeymoon! If you are looking for a unique way to find wedding vendors, the PerFAKE Wedding is for you! Be on the lookout for future dates!
