Chris and Samantha said their nuptials at The Church of Immaculate Conception in Montclair, NJ then traveled to Florham Park for an amazing reception at The Park Savoy Estate to celebrate their marriage! After a magical day, they were off to a perfect honeymoon throughout many cities in ITALY! Their honeymoon took considerable planning, and turned out exactly how they envisioned! We started with a wish list, encompassing everything they each dreamed their honeymoon to be. Through careful questioning, a skeleton of an itinerary took shape. With each conversation, the couples' individual preferences started to surface. Elements such as number of nights in a city, activities and modes of transportation were added and removed as priorities became clearer. Together, Chris and I handpicked each hotel, tour and excursion to be sure it was just the right balance of adventure, relaxation and romance. The journey began in Venice, Italy with an enchanting, private gondola ride. The newlyweds ventured through the historic Venice cannels, while being serenaded with light and calming music. So Romantic! The next day, they enjoyed a walking tour, learning about Venetian history and culture as they sampled mouth watering cicchetti dishes and local wines. Next on the agenda was the city of Florence. Arriving by train and then private transfer, the happy couple participated in a once in a lifetime authentic Tuscan cooking class held in an old “palazzo” in the city center. Cooking in an Italian kitchen was an not only an amazing experience but also DELICIOUS! Their stay in Florence also included an Original David Walking Tour, learning about the most famous sculpture in the world, Michelangelo’s life and his other famous works. Then it was off to Rome! The city is rich in history and culture, everywhere you turn there is amazing architecture, beautiful fountains and iconic structures. There are so many grand sights in Rome, you have to choose carefully. Chris and Samantha visited the Spanish Steps, Navona Square, the Pantheon and Farnese Square. Perhaps they saved the best for last! They spent the final days of their perfect honeymoon relaxing in the beautiful scenery of the Amalfi Coast in Positano. Tucked away between green vegetation and blue sea, the majestic views were incredible! Positano is a perfect end to an adventurous honeymoon! The alleyways of the town create a sense of wonder and lead to charming boutiques and quaint restaurants. The unique landscape allows visitors to enjoy caves and rock formations carved from years of flowing rivers. I love it when clients give me feedback, both about my services and the locations they visit. Here are a few snippets from emails I received from Chris during and after his honeymoon:
"Just checked in to the Hotel Orafi! And it is spectacular!! They gave us a gorgeous suite with a view of the Arno. And delivered a lovely bottle of Rose with bruchetta and olives. Really top class. Thank you so much Buffy! Everything has been spectacular so far." "Buffy helped us to plan the Honeymoon of our dreams! She was beyond helpful and did everything she could to make the process as stress-free as possible. Buffy accommodated several "special requests" and when my requests ended up causing a headache... she tackled the problem head and sorted everything out beautifully. Buffy we can not thank you enough for all you did for you! Our trip was absolutely perfect and we can't wait to go back to Italy!!" Thanks to Chris and Sam for sharing these amazing photos from their time spent in Italy. It is easy to see that they had the honeymoon of their dreams. If you are interested in planning a romantic getaway to Italy, or somewhere else, me a call, I would love to help! 845-369-8795
