When couples get engaged, suddenly there is an onslaught of wedding information. Facebook and Google bombard you with wedding ads, friends tell you the perfect DJ, florist and photographer. It's easy to get overwhelmed by all this information and it can be difficult to make a decision about who is right for YOUR wedding. You are not alone, others felt the same way and wedding vendors responded. A new trend is catching on... the FAKE wedding! A mock wedding is designed to let you experience wedding vendors doing what they do best - working a wedding! Seeing, hearing, tasting each of the components of the wedding is the best way to become familiar with vendors services. It is the perfect trial wedding, a preview of how your big day will feel. I love the idea for many reasons, but particularly because it involves the groom. So many times I see men at bridal shows looking bored or ignored. This is a fun evening out that both the bride and groom can enjoy together! Mock weddings are gaining in popularity, so there is bound to be one near you! If you are local to me (in the tri-state area) I will be participating in my very first mock wedding on January 23, 2016! My PerFAKE Wedding will be held at Cherry Valley Country Club in Skillman, NJ. Guests will enjoy a complimentary evening of food and soft drinks, accompanied by a vow renewal ceremony, dancing, entertainment, wedding favors and giveaways. Every detail of the wedding day will be covered - even a Honeymoon Planner (yours truly) for the happy couple!

What a great idea! Too bad I'm on the opposite side of the country, otherwise I would totally love to see how one goes.
