New resorts are popping up all over the Caribbean and Mexico! It’s great to be a newlywed in 2017! If you are planning a wedding in 2017 or even 2018, you will want to save this list of new honeymoon resorts. Many couples are looking for something unique for their honeymoon. What better way to ensure that your honeymoon isn’t like your friends than to be among the first to stay at a new resort! Some of the major resort chains are really raising the bar, which means more amazing choices for newlyweds! One travel trend to take note of is the ‘hotel within a hotel’. Resorts offer a luxury option within a resort that includes special amenities, private staff and exclusive perks. This VIP treatment can be offered on specific floors or maybe even an entire building. It is notable for destination weddings or honeymoon couples because often times, one of the exclusive benefits includes an adult only area. If you want to get married at a resort that allows kids, but still want to enjoy privacy and adult only areas, this option is perfect. Another popular request for a 2017 getaway is the overwater bungalow. Until recently, couples had to travel to the South Pacific to enjoy the extravagance of viewing the ocean below your feet in your own villa. But luckily for US travelers, we now have options closer to home. These private and glamorous accommodations come with a hefty price tag and fill up quickly, so be sure to save your pennies and reserve early! There are currently 2 resorts that offer this unique room type directly over the water and they are located in Mexico and Jamaica (one featured below!), with more on the way.
