Vacation Planning Made Easy!

Dream!
That's right, search the internet, look at pictures on Instagram and posts on Pinterest. Round up all your favorite elements and figure out what your dream vacation looks like! Create a 'wish list' of all the things that would make the trip ideal for you. Begin to sort them into Must Haves, Wants and Would Be Nice columns.

Create!
Now that you have identified some amazing destinations, resorts and/or activities, it's time for me to work my magic! Given the information you provide, I will put together an itinerary with as many items from your wish list as possible.

Customize!
You will go over the itineraries and let me know what you like and dislike about them so that I can guide you toward appropriate changes to suit your needs. We solidify the big things like flights, hotel and transfers.

Details!
Now the fun really starts! Planning the dining, excursions, and activities that you will do on your vacation! These are the things that really make your trip all about YOU! No two trips to the same location are the same because of what each family decides to do (or not do) with their time!

Autism Certification

Every year I attend a training session to stay updated on current information within the Sandals/Beaches Resorts and renew my Certified Sandals Certificate. This year was especially helpful because I learned about another certification called the Certified Autism Travel Professional (CATP). The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards put out a course for Travel Professionals in order to better serve the autistic community.

This training brough to the forefront a need for travel professionals who also have knowledge of special needs. The course reinforced what I already knew, that every person with a disability is different with a different set of needs. Planning trips for special needs isn't really that different than customizing any vacation! Ask questions, learn about their personalities and particularities and then create an amazing itinerary based on the information! It definitely helps to have a knowledge base in the field and experience working with this population. I love working together to create family vacations that everyone can enjoy!

I was a Speech Pathologist for 15+ years; I left the healthcare industry to open a travel agency. I have been customizing vacations for years and finally decided to marry the two interests to plan travel for families with special needs.
